In the meantime, you can download a trial or purchase a copy from <a href="http://www.handango.com/BrainStore/PlatformProductDetail.jsp?siteId=311&productId=130264">Handango</a>. [Affiliate]
Nice concept... but $30 is a bit steep!
I think this will be of much more use/value on a Pocker PC Phone when you can dial the contact.

Im glad some-one is doing some more innovative interface work. What would also be very nice would be to access most functions without ever touching the screen, using the buttons and d-pad. That would make for better one-handed usage, especially on a pocketpcphone.

I think the only ways for this to be of any massive use is if you have a GSM/CDMA enabled PDA that also has a camera so you can put your own contact pictures in. Either that or you can take pics with your digital camera and then upload the images in which would be a pain in the ass.
I'm not usually so direct here but I'm not being a passive consumer anymore. This price is nuts. I was interested in DL'ing the trial until I saw that. No longer interested.

Interesting, and aesthetically pleasing. And the author is a Pulp Fiction fan, which means 'good' in my book. But, yeah, 30 bucks? Too maach.

i agree with Surur - one handed operation is where it's at. i've been demo'ing a Treo and Goodlink Server. i can't believe how well designed and easy to use the GUI and the Dpad is.
the option is still there to pull out the stylus and do some hardcore work, but for reading email, or working with calendar/contacts, one handed operation is extremely helpful. it's especially more important for any device with phone capabilities.
i still prefer my HP4355 (much bigger keyboard), but sometimes long for some of the Treo/Goodlink shortcuts and controls.

I think that interface rocks! $30? I think $20 would be more reasonable.

Thanks for your comments, guys! We really appreciate your feedback.
It's our priority to create software that is nice and easy-to-use. We believe, that basic applications in Pocket PC should be more "finger-friendly", so that you wouldn't have to use your both hands and chair if you wanted to dial your mom's number
Regarding the price: it might go lower when we introduce the version for Phone Edition!

Well, great job, Sygic. The interface looks great and it's really user-friendly. But I've got several questions.
First, can I attach my own photo to a contact? As far as I can see, I can only use included ones... That's not enough
Second, it would be great if you'll make contact details and contact edit with similar interface. If not, please make selection of PIM manager - many prefer to use Pocket Informant or Agenda Fusion, not Contacts...
Third... I think it's hard to hope... But... Can you make way to modify "Jump To" letters for non-english users?
Thanks one more time.

i downloaded the trial and it looks and works great - i just love any app i can use one-handed. the main thing (maybe the only thing) i miss about my treo600 is that you could do almost everything (literally) with the d-pad and a thumb. this reminds me of those days and that's a GREAT thing. 30 beans though is a shame.
as long as the developers are monitoring this i have 2 requests too - first - i'd love to be able to dial a contact via bluetooth (send number to my bluetooth phone) since i use that feature a lot in my other contact programs.
next is a question - where can we get more of these great icons? if i could find a ton more of those i just might be even more interested :)

ps 30 beans is especially steep w/ the recent release of contact breeze - which is in a different class w/ regards to useability but is still a more reasonable 6 bucks i think?

Great interface, looking forward to the Phone Edition for my I700. Can this be put on the SD card or does it have to be in main memory?

Superb! I was playing with this for hours. The UI is unbelievable. This is what I like to see more on PPC proggies - a simple easy to use UI. It'll cool if all apps came like this. Maybe like a simple/basic mode and then a advance mode, where the simple mode is finger friendly and has the Sygic-type UI and the advanced looks like what we have now.
Genius Sygic! I'm going to support you guys and buy this despite the price because I love the product and love the direction you are going with this (plus I'm a design guy myself).
Now only if your .mobile software for the desktop supported SprintPCS phones...
Either way, keep it up!
