OK,

I'm ordering an Axim x30. I've had my 2215 for just under a year and like it a lot, however I'd like to have built-in wifi. I'm planning ot sell my 2215 on eBay when the x30 comes. The Outlook that came with it had to be "registered" online... has anyone had any experience with having this registration 'released' so that whomever buys my 2215 can install it on their own PC? I guess I can call/email MS about it, as if I were going to put it on a newly purchased PC, but figured I'd ask here first (well, second, since I posted at Aximsite about this already).

Of course I have to order some new grips from HP before listing it. Almost ordered the PocketPCTechs grips but really want wifi.

Thanks :D

There is a very good chance the 'Activation', (not registration) will just work for the new user without any problem. I have moved things to new machine when I have had them for some time, without issue. If they do get an 'already activated' problem, a phone number is provided that they can call and activate over the phone with a help desk rep. I have had to do this when a laptop needed to be returned shortly after loading all the Office stuff. The new one came up with the message, I called, explained the situation, and they had no problems helping me out. They are very easy to deal with. If they explain they bought a PPC with the Outlook CD and key, I'm sure they'll be helped. MS is trying to be very accomodating to legitimate users with legitimate requirements.

You could even supply with your sale a note that you have removed the copy of Outlook from your machine and installed a new copy that came with your new PPC. That way if the question comes up, the new user knows the answer and doesn't fumble or say they don't know.

I got my 2215 from ebay and had no problem with outlook installing.

I can't register with Nuveo though. Too bad because it looks pretty cool.
