What? You've never heard of Golden Lantern? Surely you've heard of the original device, the i-Mat IP3230 from Matsunishi, right? No? From where I'm standing, it looks like the Golden Lantern does a good job of shining a soft light over the sleepy suburbs of MediocreVille, but hey, it's got better specs AND is $10 cheaper than an HP rz1710! That's right, this King of the Middle of the Road sports a 300 MHz Intel Xscale processor, 64MB RAM, 32MB ROM, an SD slot, a USB cradle and a 1000 mAh rechargeable battery. The Golden Lantern 3000 can be yours for only $269 of your hard earned cash (with free shipping through 8/31/04). looks like a good alternative to the E405 and ipaq 17xx. an included cradel is a nice touch

When I read the headline, I thought it must be related to the Paper iMac (http://www.digitalmediathoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=45363) :P

IMHO, they do make the world's best Bluetooth Handsfree (speakerphone, not headset) solutions. Much better design and engineering than some of the other crap out there.
