has anyone ever managed to access the internet through a proxy server that requires authentication?
at home, internet access via WIFI, active sync no problem, works like a charm.
at work, behind our company firewall and internet access that requires a proxy server with userid/password, i haven't been able to do anything. at another office where only an open proxy server is required (no authentication), internet access is possible.
all of this together, this suggests that the authentication is the problem here.
i guess the proxy setup at our office is not too unsual and also affects many people at other businesses.
anyone who faces the same obstacle and was able to solve it? did you simply give up? any idea what might work?
*is* there a possibility to access the internet using a proxy with authentication on a windows mobile 2003 device at all?
device in question: ipaq 4150 running WM2003
