<div class='os_post_top_link'><a href='http://www.foxpop.co.uk' target='_blank'>http://www.foxpop.co.uk</a><br /><br /></div>Last April Jonathon <a href="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27147">reported</a> that the FoxPop PDA site had closed down. As the response to that article showed, people really thought FoxPop had something extra to offer to the PDA community (great detailed reviews anyone?), and the demise of that site was mourned. So it's with great pleasure that I learned that with a new lineup FoxPop was relaunched as @FOXPOP.<br /><br /><img src="http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/images/web/2003/marlof-20040818-atfoxpop.jpg" /><br /><br />What's new? The contributors to @FOXPOP each publish their articles on their own websites and blogs. The @FOXPOP site is used to collect those articles in one place, and give users the ability to comment. There will not be a monthly publishing schedule or a newsletter, but there is a <a href="http://www.foxpop.co.uk/articles/rss.aspx">XML/RSS feed</a>. And to top if off, they have a new search engine that covers the archived FoxPop site, the new @FOXPOP site, and some of the contributor's individual sites. As a true collective, you even have an opportunity to <a href="http://www.foxpop.co.uk/about/join.htm">join</a> them. We wish Elisabeth Liddell and her fellow contributors all the best with this relaunch!

This is excellent news. FoxPop has always been one of the best PDA sites for original reviews.

WOOHOO!! Great news! It was a real shame when they closed down. Their reviews are extremely well done.

A tech blog eh...I have been playing with the idea of blogging.....

I only wish they would have an archive section of all their old stuff (hpc, etc.). This site was very useful when I first started out.

You mean like their archive (http://archive.foxpop.com/)? As stated, their search function includes this archive as well!

Good for FoxPop - wish 'em the best :D

Irrellevant observation: Is it me or does the animal in their logo look more like a wolf or a husky than any fox you've ever seen?

I remember more info, ie. aero 8000 hpc info, etc.

I originally wanted to state something about being able to see their fox howling at the moon again, but the image made me unsure if that would be a fox. It looked wolfy to me as well. So I just skipped the comment. Of course, talking about wild life makes a geek like me uncomfortable anyhow.

You take a chance when you point it out inane things like logo inconsistencies. Sometimes people are cool and/or ignore it. Sometimes you end up p*ssing someone off. Either way...oops, I've over thought it.

I'm going to imagine that it's a robot wolf...

There, I feel better now.
