As a member of the Prince's NPG Music Club I was able to grab premium seats at DC's MCI Center of his Musicology concert. OMG. I've seen him before (this being my fifth time), but, this by far was the genius Prince at his greatest moment. He has matured greatly and by far he is in it for the music. You have got to see this tour. OMG. Three hours on my feet, jam, jam, jam, jam, jam. He literally brought the house down. Jeez, I'm downloading his schedule just so I can see him perform again.

Okay, I'm done. Just wanted to rant.
OMG, I always knew he was one of the few musical geniuses, but, OMG, WOW.

Stupid question what does NPG mean?

The only stuff I have of Prince's is Purple Rain and erm 'Batman soundtrack' ahem.

I did'nt realise until very reciently that he wrote 'Nothing compares to you' sung by Sinead O Connor

Well, thank goodness he changed his name back. That symbol was nowhere to be found on my keyboard.

Actually for legal reasons he could not use it for a number of years. Warner Bros. owned the name until expiration of some contract stuff.

Man I'm already so tempted to go to this show. $50 isn't too bad for tickets even if they aren't the greatest seats.....maybe I'll pick up a couple and take my friend to the show, he LOVES Prince :) I wish it was just a couple of weeks later though! Money is tight this week and the show is next Tues! But we'll see, my friend is out of touch until Sunday and my paycheck doesn't come through till Friday, if there's still tickets on Friday I may just have to go for it :)

Hope you get tics. You will not be disappointed. I was actually contemplating driving up to Philly and catch his show again, but, other plans popped up.

Good luck

*sigh* it's not gonna happen, I just don't have the money. Besides I have a slight problem with paying almost $150(after fees and parking) for a couple of really really crappy seats :( And $75 for the good seats is an obnoxiously high price even for Prince. Guess it will have to wait till next time he comes around....

Too bad. I thought the $78 bucks (each) I paid for two tics was kinda of high, but, I bit the bullet because this was the last tour that he would play any of his earlier stuff. Turned out to be well worth it. Three hours of non-stop jamming.
