IPaq 3955 SD card not being read

My pocket PC is no longer acknowledging either one of my SD cards (64mb and a 256mb). I may have done something foolish with the software in ignorant exploration. When I insert either one of them I do not get the option for format the card.

Did you try a soft-reset?

If that doesn't work, do the cards work in a desktop reader (assuming you have one)?

Thanks janak ... Ive tried hard and soft resets, reseats, reloaded all the software, etc. Unfortunately I don't have a reader that I could plug in separately. It worked when I first got the device about 18 months ago, but now it doesn't. I had a problem with rapid battery discharge for awhile due to alarms going off that took me a long time to figure out that they were the problem. so I stopped using it for about 3 months. but now I travel alot and need it ... which is when I discoverd that it won't recognize my Storage Card at all. I can't help but think that I somehow messed myself up by all the tinkering I did. I know just enough to be really dangerous!
