eCost has a daily special for a 1Gb CF card for $89. Purchase price is $114 (which isn't bad, either) before mail in rebates.

This sounds like a good deal. Does anyone know if these perform better than the Kingston SD cards that were also extremely cheap a week or two ago? I seem to remember hearing that they suffered from very poor read performance. It's worth it for me to pay a little extra to get decent performance.

For me it's 94.95. Since there is a 5.95 handling fee. 114 +5.95 - 25 rebate = 94.95. oh and plus tax ... (here in graceland nearly 10%)

mwave.com has it for 122 delivered and zipzoomfly.com has it for 123 with free 2nd day shipping. FWIW.

I too am wondering what the quality/success/longevity of these are and if they are inferior to the sandisk versions (also 126 delivered 2nd day @ zipzoomfly.com)

Anyone have experience with these Kingston CF cards?

I just replaced my Kingston 256mb card with a 512 two days ago.

Now the 1 GB drops in price...figures.

Anyway, I have nothing but praise for the Kingstons. My 256MB cf card is a little over 4 years old (I paid $150 for it!). It's never caused the least bit of trouble. I've used it in a Jornada 548, 568, and now my 2215. I' needed more room, thus the 512mb. I also have the Kingston 512SD in 2215. It boggles my mind that I have 1 GB of memory.

They have a 5 year warranty if that helps the feel good factor.

I have to get a 1GB card! I could put probably 6-8 DVDs on that card!
