Does anyone here use multiple handhelds on a regular basis? I have an Axim X5 400 and a Viewsonic V37 and I'm trying to figure out a practical way to use both devices. Any tips? or should I just shelve the V37?
You would run into difficulty with ActiveSync most likely. I was using a Casio and Toshiba for awhile. Both had SD slots so I kept all of my important documents (Word, Excel) on the SD card and then switched in between both machines. Activesync *may* allow you to sync two different machines with Outlook (considering I sync a Toshiba and a Palm with the same copy of Outlook I think it may work). As for other third party apps you may try to make backups from those programs onto an SD Card and then restore.
Hope this helps!

Actually, I have both syncing fine, just wondered if there is any practical reason to use two. Thanks for the input!

I used to use two devices on two computers. I used ipaq 4150 and Treo 600 and synced them with my desktop and laptop. After some trials and errors and data duplicates and losses, I finally concluded that I can use either one PDA with two computers or two PDAs with one computer, but two and two was too much headache and not worth the time and energy I spent. So, unless you have a compelling reason to use multiple devices, I'd say less is more.

You could set each one up with a slightly different suite of apps. A daytime one with Powerpoint viewer, pdf reader, that sort of thing, and an evening one with audio and video players, games, etc. You can easily sync both with a PC, I have had up to five syncing the basic PIM stuff.
I actually have one set up primarily as a GPS/Mapping platform. It has three or four different GPS apps and the associated map files on memory cards.

I'm using 2 devices: a Tunsgten T3 and a hp4155. They really serve different purposes. I do most of my work on my T3 and most of my playing on my 4155. I only have 2 pieces of software that are the same on both: Championship Spades Pro and powerOne Financial.

cariying two devices of the same type might not seem logical to most of the people! especialy those who carry a phone edition pocket pc just to carry only one device.
anyway i dont get the reason why would anybody want to use a palm if he has a pocket pc
i mean a pocketpc or a palm plus a handheld would be a nice combination but two pdas?!
to vidge: both T3 and 4155 are excellent devices for sure. especialy i am in love with the design of T3 but is the only reason two carry two devices the software issue?
I use my E750 at work (it is encased in a hard case which makes it too bulky to always carry around). My Tungsten W has all of that data duplicated on it. As it is my phone I take it with me all of the time. Any updates that I have to make while away from work or home get done on that and then synced so that that e750 could have the same info.
I would keep one PPC at home and one at work and use flash cards to sync the two.

Thanks for the tips, everyone! I think I'll probably use the Axim for goof around goodness and the V37 for my actual work. The V37 is much smaller and more portable, IMO. I appreciate all of the input.
