I need an English-Spanish dictionary for my Pocket PC. I speak Spanish but it has been years since I used it often. I now have an assignment that requires me to become more proficient and I'd like to be able to quickly look up words. There are a bunch of English-Spanish dictionaries listed on Handango (http://www.handango.com/PlatformSearch.jsp?optionId=1_2_2&jid=916E7X6B9CFA4D361A1XX89C5EC3275X&platformId=2&siteId=1&features=0&advSearch=true&sectionId=0&keyWords=english+AND+spanish+AND+dictionary) and PocketGear (http://www.pocketgear.com/advanced_search.asp?category1=23&chkTitle=on&chkCompany=on&searchfor=english+AND+spanish+AND+dictionary&except_searchfor=&boolean=PARTIAL&sortBy=views&sortByOrder=desc&Submit1=Submit) but it's hard to tell which are best.

Can anyone give me some recommendations?

If you use MS Reader, this link provides you with FREE Spanish > English and English > Spanish dictionaries (as well as other languages).

I use UltraLingua (SlovoEd) which i have used for nearly a year - quite comprehensive with 50765 entries (version 3.01). Well worth the money: fast, good choice of words, good userinterface. (Comes with installation program but it is easy to pick out the CAB files for direct installation from for example a memory card).

UPDATE: review here http://pocketnow.com/index.php?a=portal_detail&t=reviews&id=234

Filesizes:
- dictionaries: 544 + 533K
- program: 253K (unless they hide stuff in oterh directories).

I like PocketLingo English to Spanish, also PocketContext is very good but I don't believe is WM2003 compatible.

Buenas Suerte!

MobiLearn Talking Phrasebook is pretty nice, although the basic listing with pronunciations is somewhat small. You can purchase add on lexicons of nouns and verbs. Translates in either direction.

What I'm really looking for is vocabulary. I speak the language, but it's been long enough since I used it daily that my vocabularyis rusty.

You can get Spanish books in various levels of difficulty, but I have not seen these as ebooks.

http://www.blackmask.com/cgi-bin/newlinks/page.cgi?g=Europa%2Findex.html&d=1 has some Spanish books (all from Project Gutenberg) but they may or may not be beyond your abilities.

What I want is a Spanish-English, English-Spanish dictionary on my Pocket PC where I can look up the translation of a word.

That is UltraLingua.
