I have had my iPaq a full year now. It still has been a very good device. I was working on it today and I discovered *gasp* a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. I know that it hasn't been there the entire time. I would have certainly noticed in a year's time of daily use.

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else after having their device for a long time.

if you rub the area of the dead pixel it could eventually dissapear and then later reappear leater

He's talking about "massaging" the LCD (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&c2coff=1&q=lcd+massage+dead+pixel&btnG=Search). It's easier to do on laptops, since they don't have a piece of glass covering the actual LCD. Sometimes, a cold soldier-like problem can be worked around using such a mechanism. I've never heard of it actually being done on PDAs, though.

Thanks. I thought it was some kind of joke. Like getting a "Board Stretcher" or something.

I've already learned to live with it. I might try it and see if it works.
