I had it up to here with Activesync, I wouldn't mind it but the software on my pc and pda are both produced by the same company and they still are having the same problems they've been having when i last used windows CE 5 years ago now mobile 2003.

E.G.
I have a problem with 3 unresolved items in my INBOX and i have tried soft, hard resetting my ipaq, rebooting my pc, moving all emails out of my inbox into a temporary folder yet it still says i have 3 unresolved items in my inbox, but my inbox on pc and ipaq are were empty. There is no indication either which 3 items are causing the problem this is infuriating. This is I realise a MS issue and am now seriously considering going back to palm having dipped my toes in windows mobile platform for only 3 months. I can promise you one thing i will be recommending anyone to stay well clear of all MS based pdas, that i promise you. If they can't get Activesync right then whats the point!!

How utterly disappointing and my sympathy to anyone for having to support a software platform which promises soo much but seems to falter on the basics such as ActiveSync, what a pity.

A) What OS are you using? What email client?

B) Have you tried uninstalling Active Sync yet on your computer and making sure you have the vert latest version of Active Sync?

C) Have you tried using a totally different computer to see if you can isolate the problem to see if it's an ActiveSync issue or some file on the PPC?

D) Do you have a folder sync too (for files) I have seen conflicts there before before

I too have noticed the three unresolved sync items

for me, these three items appear to be:

Business
Personal
Templates

These are the three folders that are "designed" to sync. I get this message when there is no other files to sync except the folders themselves. When I put something in these folders or other sync-folders. It's all good. YMMV

Good luck.

Yeah, ActiveSync does suck. One suggestion: try a scanpst on your PST file. It might be corrupted entries that are causing the problem.
