Does anybody know of a hack or a way to setup a partnership over Wifi?
I have everything working fine in regards to activesync/net access etc, but everytime I hard reset my iPAQ I need to bring my cradle with me home from work to setup a new partnership so I can install applications over wifi. There must be a smarter way than that :?
I know it's a limit due to security reasons etc. but still..

You have to setup the partnership by cradle/usb/serial. I see the problem, but there is a reason. Think about it - if you could just do so with WiFi, and someone had ActiveSync installed, you could sync with their data.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I get your point, and I understand the security risk, although I believe that with proper sync software that had some "bonding" functionality like when you bond with a BT device using a passkey, this should not be a problem.
But I guess activesync is what it is, no more no less..

Maybe use an IrDA usb dongle? (http://www.usbgear.com/usb-irda.cfm) I believe you can establish a partnership with IrDA. Also, you could just go with a mini-sync cable...

Indeed you can, which is how I have to initially create partnerships with my h5455 since the charge/sync connector is broken. Once the initial partnership is done and WLAN driver updates installed, all future syncs -- both at home and work -- are done via WiFi. (I connect to my home PC from work via a VPN to sync with my home PC rather than deal with ActiveStink on two PCs.)
