Hi,
I've been using Streamsicle with great success over my home network.
Unfortunately as it products a .m3u stream I'm unable to use my iPAQ 2210 to 'tune-in'.
Are there any Pocket PC app's that can play a .m3u stream over a (wireless) network?
Thanks, Iain.

You can use GSPlayer and WinamPAQ (and most likely PocketMusic too) to listen to your Streamsicle stream. I have tried both of those players personally just now with Streamsicle and they work great. I know because I'm streaming music from my PC to my 2210 as I type this.
Both GSPlayer and WinamPAQ are freeware. PocketMusic is $19.95, but supports Winamp 2.x skins (WinamPAQ does this as well) and you can rotate the skin/player landscape mode as well (built-in, no need for 3rd party landscape switcher).

WinamPAQ: http://www.freewareppc.com/multimedia/winampaq.shtml

WooHoo! Many thanks for the reply!
I did have a look at the GSPlayer homepage but it's realy not too clear, I assumed (incorrectly) that it only supported .m3u playlists when the files & playlist were on the iPAQ - glad to hear that's not the case!
I'll give it a blast when i get home from work :)

Hmmm... mixed success.
Tried both GSPlayer and WinamPAQ.
WinamPAQ refuses to work at all, I get some error message when I try to open it - that got deleted immediately...
With Gplayer, I can connect to the Streamsicle stream over the internet. Performance is OK-ish but a little stuttery.
However, I can't get it to work over the local LAN which seems very odd.
The HOST PC is at http://LAN_name:4711 which is how I connect from my laptop or desktop, when I try this with Gplayer, I get "connecting..." then "Buffering... 0%" but it never gets any further.
Any ideas? I'm assuming performance would be much better over the local LAN - and that's the reason I want to use it!

Make sure your maximum connections setting in Streamsicle is more than what you are currently using (I had mine set to 1 connection max and was listening on my PC through 127.0.0.1 and couldn't figure out why my iPaq couldn't connect lol).
Also, you might want to try using the IP of your PC instead, such as http://192.168.0.2:4711. This is how I got it to connect.
As with WinamPAQ, I used version 1.0 Beta 0509. In the playlist I clicked File->URL put the same thing as above (http://<ip>:4711), it added it to the playlist, then i double tapped it and it connected and started playing.

Thanks but no luck I'm afraid.
I made sure the iPAQ was the only device connected and I tried using the IP address as well, both times the same thing, "connecting...", "buffering ... 0%" then, nothing.
I also downloaded the demo of Pocket Music. Same problem, I can stream over the internet but not the local LAN.
This leads me to the conclusion that it's something to do with how my network is set up on the iPAQ. I'm at a loss on how to troubleshoot this further though :(

Sounds like something with your networking on your iPaq, yeah. Check DNS settings, netmask, etc.
