Hi all
I remember a couple of months ago reading a review of a Win CE device which was a mini tablet with an 800 x 600 resolution that could be used as a webpad. I have of course forgotten the name, make, site I read the review at etc (talk about a senior moment  ). Can anyone point me to similar devices ? , I was thinking that they would be great around the house for home automation etc.

Google up the viewsonic airpanel.
But there are a lot more other CE-based tablets out there, but I can't recall any on the top of my head

check out this site www.hpcfactor.com/hardware/devices/
maybe you can find what you are looking for
I am going to be posting a review of the Mobinote tablet that runs Windows CE.NET 4.1, as soon as I can get around to it.
Here is a link with a little info:

The digitizer on it is FANTASTIC!! It allows you to write on the device screen while still resting your hand on it. I haven't seen any other WinCE devices that do this.
I'll post here when I get the review done.

I'll post here when I get the review done.
Please do - and send a link to the news at PPCT email address so we can see it when you put it up. Ta. :)
Don't forget the new Psion Netbook Pro: http://www.psionteklogix.com/assets/downloadable/NETBOOK_PRO_Letter.pdf
It has 800 x 600 screen and CE.NET 4.2
One good thing I noticed is they use SpreadCE instead of a watered down version of Excel. Smart move, this is a nice app.
Ya, I reviewed the Netbook Pro and it is REALLY nice but MacBriar was asking about webpad devices, in other words, those without a keyboard.

I'm new to ppc's and all.
I was searching for something like these for when I goto university.
Sort of a tablet, with a bigger screen than standard pda's, and no kb.
First thing I came across was the Viewsonic Viewpad 100, which is older, but it looked like the basis of something I would want. Btw, it is 800x600 on Win CE.
I'm looking for more info on these types of ppc's. They are hard for me to find. One's like in this thread like that southpro one look really awesome.
Win CE, or the full XP OS, or others, whatever. What is out there?
I'd probly only consider things under $1000USD, but keep in mind, a Viewpad 100 refurb can be bought for $380USD (which I was thinking about grabbing initially)

There is also the Atigo M and the Atigo S by Xybernaut. These devices are ruggedized designs that may be a little pricey for some. We have worked with these folks for a few years and despite their recent organizational problems, they make a fine product for niche markets. www.zybernaut.com
If any members here are interested in details not posted on their site, I am happy to provide same.
Hope this helps!
