Hey Everyone,

Can someone please recommend a decent CALENDAR / ORGANIZER program for my HP 2215? I HATE using Outlook and was looking for another program that will give me reminders and let me stay organized.

Thanks!

Are you looking for something to replace Outlook on your PC? Or something to replace Pocket Outlook on your iPAQ?

That sounds like a tongue twister...lol

:)

Well, I use Outlook Express on my PC, as my primary POP client for my email. I dispise OUTLOOK!

When I have had the chance to check email on my HP 2215 PPC, I just click INBOX and it gets my email from the POP settings I have.

I guess to answer your question, I want to get a different Calender / Organization program on my PPC. Honestly, I really haven't dabbled in using the options on my PPC that let me ADD a TASK and things like that. I normally use YAHOO's CALENDAR function. Not sure if you are familiar w/ that? I really want something that will let me SYNC w/ my Yahoo calendar. I am pretty sure that Yahoo only supports synching w/ a PALM OS though. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Well, in that case, there are two main programs you should look at: Pocket Informant (http://www.pocketinformant.com) and Agenda Fusion (http://www.developerone.com).

I personally use PI, but I won't say it's the best as any PI vs. AF discussion soon turns into a heated "Ford vs. Chevy" or "David Lee Roth vs. Sammy Hagar" debate. It never ends pretty. ;)

Check out each one. They both have free trial periods so try them out and see which one you like better. Each of them uses the iPAQ's built-in databases, so you won't have to worry about keeping two sets of data.

There are some other applications that are considered "simpler" such as SuperCalendar (http://www.scarybearsoftware.com/ppc_sc_overview.html) and Ulti-Planner (http://www.birdsoft.biz/upmain.htm). I haven't tried either of these, but you may want to check them out as well.
