Business Card information and a PPC

Apart from spending £250 on a Cardscan printer does anyone know of a quick and easy way to transfer business card information from the card to a PPC?

I have several hundred to do and only a little time to do it in. I have a scanner but I do not have suitable software to achieve the result I am after.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

The only other solution I can think of would be one of those electronic pens that you pass over text and it stores into memory. I've never heard how well they do with business cards (or mobile devices, for that matter), but you might look into it.

I bet you could offer a friend of family member dinner or a small amount of money to type them in, too.

I do it with a $50 flatbed scanner I got 4 years ago and cardsync software. It works really well.
