Help chosing a Pocket PC

I'm really torn between the Dell x30 624Mhz and the Asus a716. The plus of the Dell is the speed and Pocket PC 2003 SE, but the Asus is supposed to have an upgrade to PPC SE for the a716. The Asus also has the added bonus of a CF card slot. It would be nice to be able to get on a wired network if a wireless one is unavailable. The primary problem I have with the Asus is the size and that antenna. Is it as big as it looks in the pictures? By the way, I'm upgrading from a Sony Clie PEG 615T, and the HPs you see in the stores are so SMALL.... Another negative issue with the Dell is the 3 week wait time to get one! Has anyone gotten this one in less than a month (lately)?

Anyone with experience with these models HELP!

asus is bigger than dell plus it has a thin antenna. i find the antenna desing in dell better than asus.
i always use mobile phones which dont have antenna, i hate it.

Your choice :) It is really depends on what you plan to do with it.
Personally I will go with a device that has both CF+SD. I shoot a lot of pictures on cameras using both SD and CF card ... hence having both slots are really a great help. Furthermore, CF is cheaper, and generally has larger capacity.

My opinion...

I have been reading reviews and testimonials for weeks now..on every recent pda on the market, and upcoming. I would go with the A716, for sure. Quality. The x30 has a good price but... A716 has awesome video and audio quality, and I don't know what your plan is, but the Asus rocks for game play. ..and I know the x30 had some probs there...anyway, reviews.

One thing to note, battery life...Asus wins. The unit ships with a 1500 mAh, whereas the x30 ships with a 950 mAh I believe. It's in the reviews. -mind you, you can buy a bigger battery.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. -There's something in some reviews that I read about the Dell, that put me off a bit, might have been forums...I can't quite recall for sure... do enough reading, you'll get a good picture, and goodluck choosing. HA! HA! :mrgreen:

I guess that's one way of expressing my opinion :)

I still have the "I hope I made the right choice" anxiety clench in my gut...but I am pretty sure of my decision. 8O
