Anyone know if there are any decent DOS emulators for the PPC platform?
I am looking for something that I can run DOS 5.0. I have a lot of free time at work and was wondering if there was such a program so I could teach myself some Qbasic :-)

Hi IpaqMan,

PocketDOS is supposed to be pretty good it emulates DOS 6.22 though

Cheers Mattie and welcome. 8)

There's also CEDOS, DOS for Pocket PC here (http://www.penreader.com/PocketPC/CEDOS.html).

Personally I am looking for a DOS style terminal window program for PPC, i.e. one that will let me do command line work. I know you can get these for HPC devices, but have not seen any for PPCs. Any suggestions?

a good emulator and if you'd like you can get the source code too!

PockeTTY (http://www.dejavusoftware.com/pocketty/index.html) or PockeTTY Lite (http://www.dejavusoftware.com/pockettylite/index.html)? There was also a freeware TTY program discussed here a few months ago.

No, that's a terminal emulator -- I think he means a command-line interpreter, a la "cmd" for Windows 2k/XP and also present in all Windows CE devices that aren't Pocket PCs.

Jonathon -- I don't know of one off the top of my head. :(

Kowalski: I saw your post, but it pointed to the main page of that site. The link I posted pointed to the applications page on that site, which displays the link to CMD (what JW wanted) a little bit more prominantly.

Sorry if I offended anyone ;)
