Where is CONTACTS db Stored on HD?

I have re :?: searched several forums including this one, and cannot find the answer to this.

Can anyone tell me the default location of the "contacts database" on the hard drive. I do not use Outlook or Outlook Express even though neither has been removed from my PC.

Last week I noticed I had lost my entire contacts listing on my PPC and would like to know how to restore.

So, if someone could tell me the location of the backup and then how to recover the data on my PPC, I would greatly appreciate it!

The data is in a *.pst file and is opened w outlook.
You might get lucky and if you open out look its right there.
Otherwise search for *.pst.
THen open outlook and open the file from with in it via file-open-browse to
