PHM has just released PHM Launcher. I'm currently downloading it now and have yet to try it but the site claims that it can do the following:

# Use any folder from the RAM filesystem as a Launcher folder
# Customize folders icons for both Launcher and File explorer
# Change shortcuts icons with any icon from .dll and .exe you have in your Pocket PC
# Create new shortcuts
# Specify the view for each launcher folder separately
# Assing itself to the standard Start button

It serves as an alternative to the default program launcher included in the OS.

OK - a quick update.

I just tried it out.

The program runs very smoothly, and there are functions to view shortcuts in list. There is also a handy battery indicator that links to the system Power setting.

There is also a Quick Launch feature which is not yet available...but overall, this utility is worth trying if you are getting sick of the default program launcher.

Also, if you get the opportunity, you can donate to Philippe Majerus (creator of all the PHM software) for his work. He happily provides all his work for free.
