Hi all

I'm taking the family on a trip to Paris (mostly Disneyland, but also with a day or two in Paris) by the end of the month, and want to stay connected. Since my danish (http://www.cbb.dk/) mobile phone operator will have me pay thru the nose, I'm looking for another solution.

Off course I would prefer to use wi-fi all the way (especially since i have VoIP wich I could use on the iPAQ) but could also use GPRS/GSM if thats the only thing available.

Googling, I found amoung other things this IHT link (http://www.iht.com/articles/95233.html) talking about a massive wi-fi net thats free until june 30 and then afterwards by subscription.
Anyone who knows if this system is up and running?

I followed the wixos link (http://www.wixos.net/) and the amount of covered spots are far from impressive! Where I live in Copenhagen, one of the 3 competitors alone have covered all the squares of central Copenhagen and some 25 of the restaurants/coffee-shops + all of the 7-11 shops in denmark. Wixos looks like they have 20 spots in a city thats 10 times as big...

Anything else that works in Paris?

If I can't do wi-fi, I'll have to consider using GSM and preferrably GPRS. But do there exist providers who have prepaid GSM SIM cards and anyone who also have GPRS?

I also have a few questions about PPC software, but when I searched the forums I saw this (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29738) thread wich has just been posted, so I'll take it there. :)
