Why do images not show up in PIE anymore?

Beginning last week, images on HTML pages for Pocket Internet Explorer on my HP 1910 no longer show up -- just the little icon to show where an image is supposed to appear. About the only thing I use PIE for is viewing AvantGo and Journal Bar content. Nothing has changed on the machine prior to this happening...

Any ideas?

I forget which one, but one of the little icons along the bottom of the screen turns images on and off.

Bottom of the screen, last icon on the right (looks like a piece of paper with an X) or I think you can tap on "view" and check "show images"...
