I'm using MyVGA to increase my resolution in my e800. I made an image at 480x640 but when I choose to set as my background in the picture viewer, it still shrinks the background down to the original res (upper left corner). When I choose the background under my Today Settings, it fills out the large resolution but has a high transparency level which apparently can't be changed. (while it CAN be adjusted from the picture viewer)

Now I know there are some VGA themes I can download for SPB, I was wondering if there was a way I can import my own images and make them work as a VGA background.

You need a VGA-compliant theme maker. If you check Brighthand's e805 forums, I believe there is some discussion on this very topic. I think KAMware made an e805-specific theme maker, although I haven't looked it up recently...

You probably also noticed that Toshiba's homescreen in the E800 has more backgounds in WM2003 than in WM2003SE. You have a new screen with each tab.

If you want I can email them to you so can add them to WM2003SE again.

Themes might not be so simple but you can easily change the taday background. It's located in the windows directory and named Default_stwater.gif . This image is 640x588 pixels. The weird dimensions are for both landscape and portrait mode.
