XDA2 xtension aerial?

Probably a dumb question but is there anyway to extend the aerial on an XDA2? Can't get a signal at house in Pyrenees unless I take walk up the hill a hundred metres or so (right next to the rubbish skips to be exact :? )
Was hoping to run an aerial to top of our house but could one be connected to an XDA2?

there is an antenna connector on the xda ii; with the back facing you, to the right and a little higher than the camera lens, is a black plug which covers the connector. unfortunately its not a common "standard" (if there is such a thing) antenna connector: its the same connector required to attach to the Lucent Orinoco WiFi cards.
