Do you wish for an easier way to transfer the CAB files to the 'Start Menu\Accessories' folder? Do you copy documents or files to a specific folder on your mobile device? Do you perform one-way file sync, i.e. transfer files from your PC to device? If the answer to any of the above questions is true, you may want to read this Step By Step article."<br /><br /><img src="http://www.smartphonethoughts.com/images/Copy2MobileSendTo3.jpg" /><br /><br />Kris Kumar at our sister site, Smartphone Thoughts, has written a step by step article on easily sending files from your PC to your Windows Mobile device.

That's pretty cool. I'll be interested to see the second part.

For those who have Resco Explorer (or who are thinking of getting it), it has a similar feature. If you right-click a file, there will be a My Device item in the Send To menu. Clicking that will present a list of folders and you can choose where to send the file.

It's a bit more flexible than this, but will take an extra click or two. It's also not free. :-)

Here are a couple of images from my Resco Explorer review (http://review.svpocketpc.com/rescoexplorer5/RescoExplorer5.html).

At first, I thought this would be mainly a gimmick, but I actually have used it and like it.

One quick enhancement--the quickest way to get to your SendTo file is to click on Run from the XP start menu and type 'sendto' in the box. That automatically opens the folder.

I've never understood why MS never had a mount point for the Pocket PC so you could simply save a file directly to your Pocket PC. Or open up a zip file and extract to the Pocket PC.
This works but its a work around which seems to be the ongoing theme for the Pocket PC.
Oh and it would be nice if there was a MOVE option. 9 times out of 10 when I place a file on my Pocket PC its being moved to the device not copied.

Just add another line to the batch file that says:

Del /F /S %1

And you should be fine. WARNING: I haven't tested this out, so be careful!

Someone accidentally edited/deleted my post. They were kind enough to note it in my post. No biggie.

No, I think the edit was on purpose. It seems you had accidentally copied and pasted your "Out of office" message into the browser with your coworkers name and phone number on it.

I prefer PocketPaste:

(The latest version actually works!)

But I'm ever so slightly biased :)

I REALLY like this idea though... 'Send To' is too often abused for stupid things and not often enough for sensible things like this.

To continue this digression one post longer, I recommend always previewing your posts. You probably would have caught this if you had checked your post. :-)

Most of the bad links, mangled quotes and other nasties would be eliminated if people simply proofread their posts and checked the links. I know it takes a little more time, but I think it's worth it.

Today's lesson in netiquette has been brought to you by a Pony, the number 99 and the letters C and A.
