I am having troubles connecting my HP iPAQ 2215 to my IBM Thinkpad T42 via Bluetooth. I can get them to see each other with Paired Devices, but anytime I try to connect them on my iPAQ with the Bluetooth Manager, I get the following error: "The requested service is not running on this device. Please make sure the service is enabled on the device or select another one to continue." How do I enabled services on my PC to get these devices connected? Thanks for your help.

Good question, wish I knew. Is there any built-in Bluetooth app in XP? I helped my boss pair his v600 with his ThinkPad but one of the IT guys had already put on a program that added an icon to the Control Panel.
I searched IBM's site for you and found the following:
result 1 (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=t42&q2=Bluetooth&uid=psg1MIGR-50245&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en)
result 2 (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&q1=t42&q2=Bluetooth&uid=psg1MIGR-54365&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&cc=us&lang=en)
Getting things paired with that setup was very easy.
Hope that helps a bit, I'm on OSX so can't verify any of it myself. :?

Not until after SP2 is released.

Yep, I was on the phone with a Tech Support guy for about 3 hours. We figured out that my bluetooth adapter was trying to use the Microsoft driver, but we had to get it to use the IBM driver and also install that driver. Now everything works good, most of the time  .

i am afraid but i heard some complaints about the drivers come in SP2.
i was waiting for SP2 so i wouldnt have to install drivers for BT but AFAIK there is no way to uninstall the OS drivers if they dont work well
