Two random quirks for the day related to the Zune that I thought it were funny. First, I was browsing Amazon.com and chuckled when I saw this:

Apparently the Swiss Army Ranger Pocket Knife is the real market share winner! Next, I was on another Zune site and the Google AdSense ad that came up sure promised a lot:

10 billion downloads? Even if you combined every commercial song and movie ever released, I somehow doubt you'd hit 10 billion. For some reason, I just don't trust that ad... ;-) Have a great weekend everyone!

I (personally) would have censored that google scammer ad... at least the URL to it. Why advertise for them more? The sad part, suckers fall for that!

The relationship between the Zune and the Swiss Army pocket knife comes from the special holiday "Customers Vote" promotion that Amazon.com ran late last year. The Zune was one of the things that a few customers were allowed to purchase at a deep discount. Later, Amazon offered the pocket knife as a type of consolation prize for people who participated in the votes but did not "win" the chance to buy the discounted Zune, Xbox 360, etc.

I did not get the Zune, but I actually got that pocket knife via this promotion for just couple of dollars :)

Ditto Snap. I got the knife as well as the tent, bike, drill, and Prime offers. Unfortunately I did not get a chance at any of the good prizes.
