I was looking at getting a "Martin Fields Overlay Plus PDA Screen Protector" as they looked like just what I wanted from the review, however their site seems to be completely down...

I am looking for a long lasting one, with a glasslike surface, I don't really care for the paper texture. Something with a light adhesive is preferred.

Anyone have some suggestions? :?:

This is for an Ipaq 22xx by the way.

I really prefer the ones from Pocket PC Techs (WriteShields):

Yep, the Writeshields are the best on the market and will last you an age, as they can easily be removed and cleaned and re-applied!

Go for it....you won't be disappointed.

Another option is the NuShield (http://www.nushield.net/products_main_hp-compaq.htm) screen protector. Smooth finish just as you specify very easy to apply (rather than adhesive they fit under the screen edge) and long lasting - a pack of three should last a year.

I have only just started using these on my Jornada, but have been a long time user of the Newton version (the original!) and find them hard to fault. In particular they seem to have little impact on screen clarity unlike some other brands I have tried.

Just my €0.02

WriteShields look good, but pricy. Not per screen, but the fact I can only buy a three pack.

Might look at the NuShields, cheaper.

Found an old (unused) Fellows WriteRight from a Jornada my dad used to have, I cut one to fit. I feel better knowing there is something there till I get a proper one

After reading a metric ton of reviews on various screen protectors, I found one that looks interesting, the G2. Anyone have anything to share about their experences with one of these?

Right now its sort of a toss up between the G2 and WriteShields.

I did see the Nushields but for some reason I don't like the sound of them, don't even know why...

Brighthand has a nice review of several screen protectors here:

Thanks for all the links and advice, decided to give the G2 a shot. I figure I'd go with something new this time, see how I like it.

Currently using a Fellowes WriteRight. Installed it (had to trim to fit, as this was for an older Toshiba) and its already COVERED with tiny pock marks from the stylus. And I am not heavy with it by any means.

Will be glad to get this thing off my screen, but it is better then nothing. (Somewhat)

Hey there Kosmicki,

Just wanted to say that I agree that the WriteRight screen protectors can be a bit tricky.

There were a lot of good suggestions here for screen protection though! Boxwave also has screen protectors so you can check us out along with the others if you like.

Good luck in your search!

I completely agree with BoxWave. Their protectors are TOP notch, and very well made. Their new Crystal Protector will probably be even better than their normal one which I like and have used on several of my pda's. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Also, contrary to other makers who claim they are washable and reusable, but it isn't practical, I have cleaned and reapplied mine twice without any troubles. Best screen protector I have ever had.

No, I don't work for them.
