Hi

I had installed a trial of Egress, but decided to remove it. However whenever I start an ActiveSync session I get a "Notification Error" window displayed somplaining that it can't find egress. Does anyone know how I get rid of whatever is starting this? I can't find anything in the registry or in the file system.

I'm probably missing something simple, but any advice would be helpful. If all else fails I guess I could re-install, remove the application setting and uninstall, but my curiosity has been piqued! :?

That second option is probably your best bet. If the app is one that is always resident on your device like a SIP or Today plugin, make sure it is not running when you go to un-install. Also it would be best to un-install from AS using the remove from PPC and PC button, if it has PC componenets.

I just tried the long way and I am still getting the error message. It mostly now bothers me that I can't see how the application is being called :confused totally:

If all else fails, you could try asking someone during the activesync chat today.

I actually had a mail from the developer today that explained that there was an event set up in the DB_notify_events database, which wasn't somewhere that I had thought to look.

A definite thumbs up for their support then. They fixed the problem and taught me something (not that that's terribly hard generally :( ).
