To me, the real deal amongst these is the Stowaway XT for $39.99 -- that's a really compact keyboard at a great price, and Amazon still lists it for a lot more. :D

Head space error units on sale will not plug into x30

so the Dell X30 connector is the same as the IPAQ?

Sorry, only looked at the picture. My xt is the IR version not the plugin will edit previous post.

Sorry for the confusion

Oh man, anyone know how long this sale lasts? I want an XT for the iPaq i'm getting this/next month. But I might order a bit soon from my PDA savings if this deal is really short...

My XT just broke the other day. I use it too much to wait a month or two for the Bluetooth version. Also, it occurred to me that I wouldn't be able to use a Bluetooth keyboard on a plane (well, probably could, but shouldn't).

I live in the UK, but I phoned (ouch) and placed an order with ThinkOutside, because as the headline article says, they're selling the iPAQ XT for half of the lowest price anywhere else in the US, and it's just not available online from any shops here.

Shipping costs more than the keyboard itself, but I figure that just brings it all up to the regular price.</rationalisation>

The order process involved a bit of faffing about, having to scan a form and e-mail it in (since I can't fax from home). But this keyboard is awesome. I wrote my last novel on it. None of the other keyboard options can touch ThinkOutside's products, as far as I'm concerned. Had I settled for something else, I feel I would have regretted it.

They are going to be obsolete! The BT Stowaway is going to replace all of these special keyboards because manufactureers still insist on using proprietary connectors and they are sick of reverse engineering them! :devilboy:

I'll never buy a BT keyboard, why? I could not use any sort of built in wifi, or use another BT object with my keyboard. Its a good idea for some, but I want a wired, or attached keyboard. (as these are)

Yes, but the BT Stowaway is (will be?) a wee bit more expensive. ;)

Brighthand has a very nice review of the BT version. I thought I wanted to upgrade to the BT version before reading the article. Afterwards, I bought the IR version of the keyboard.

Although battery drain on the keyboard does not appear to be a problem, drain on the handheld's battery will be an issue to watch. According to this author, reception of IR has much less of an impact on the handheld's battery when compared to BT. His estimation was about 2 hours of handheld battery life when using the BT keyboard with a Dell X30.

Regardless, they are both great keyboards, and ThinkOutside is one cool company.

By the by, I think you'll have to Macgyver (http://www.yourencyclopedia.net/Macgyver) the connector so that it fits your h4155.
Lookey what we have here (http://www.thinkoutside.com/support/faq.html#modify)

I just bought a 4150 myself and MAN do I love this machine!

I'd really like to have the Bluetooth version, but the price point is still a bit high. So, I went ahead and spent $39.99 for the beautifu XT version, which works with my two favorite devices, the 2200 and 4100.

It just arrived today and it is FANTASTIC! It folds to a much more compact size than my other folding keyboards and it LOCKS into position so you can actually use this on your lap if you need to.
