Hello,

During my Holliday the lcd of my one month old Asus 716 broke :( (someone put his handbag in the airplane case on mine). I tried to get information from Asus in the Netherlands but they don’t want (or can) tell me if it’s possible to repair the screen or if the pda is total-loss. It seems they have to send every unit to Taiwan to get it repaired.
I have to inform my insurance company if the unit can be repaired and at what cost.
Anyone who knows if it can be repaired, where and at what cost?
The Asus service in the Netherlands sucks so I ask you.

Thanks,

Jan

Try contacting ASUS USA, among other things, if the unit is in warranty. If not, try Pocket PC Techs (www.pocketpctechs.com); they won't do a warranty repair, but they might be able to replace the unit's screen for a fee.
