OK - I am thinking outside the box here...
Has anyone heard of a conventional, wired, land line type telephone with Bluetooth support? Alternatively, has anyone heard of an adaptor that will add Bluetooth support to an existing land line telephone?
In case anyone is wondering - I have a Bluetooth headset for my Bluetooth cell phone and I'd like to use it on my home office land line as well.
All that I have found so far is this:

I am hoping that there is a less expensive option

I think Plantronics has something. I'll see if I can find the link.

OK, it looks like I lied. I can't find anything on the site. I must have confused it with something else.

I've been looking for something like that for a while too, but have not found anything. :|
Someone must produce one soon, the idea is so obvious and useful! :D

Olympia produce a cordless landline phone that works with BT headsets: http://www.blueunplugged.com/Products/Olympia_Bluetooth_Cordless_Phone.aspx
I'm pretty certain that the BlueStation A100 (a BT enabled landline phone) support headsets.
There is the BluePacket Airbase - but I don't know if that is available yet.
A company called J Com demonstrated a Bluetooth Audio Gateway, a while back, that connects with a landline phone to BT enable it...
GN Netcom have done BT headset/landline connection combos for three years - http://www.gnnetcom.dk/europe/media/literature/english/GN-BROCHURE_FINAL.pdf
There are others - but those are a start...
(I had a chance to play with the Olympia phone - pretty damn cool...)

Thanks!
The Olympia product looks great - too great (it will cost way too much, I'm sure).
I'm not sure if the BlueStation A100 supports BT headsets - it didn't explicitly say so.
The BluePacket Airbase looked very promising - that is until I browsed their website some more. Their home page is still promoting an event that occured in 2002. Not a good sign. This product looks like it never actually make it to market. Their venture capital probably ran out.
Couldn't find anything on J Com...
THE GN Netcom solution also looks good. Unfortunately, it required that you purchase their BT headset. Since I have one already, this is not a viable option.
Thanks for your help just the same. If you know of any others, it would be helpful

I can't see this explicitly stated on the site. Does anyone know with certainty that this will work with a Bluetooth headset?

Apparently - it does. Follow this link (manufacturer's website)
http://www.wave-tele.com/product_detail.php?prod=18
Click on the 'Specification' link on the right hand side of the page.
I'm really tempted by this - but I am afraid that I'm gonna get burned by Canadian customs again (I got HOSED by customs when buying a ScotteVest).
If there are any Americans out there who'd like to buy one of these for themself - let me know. Perhaps we can work something out - buy two and send me one - I pay you via PayPal kind of thing. :D

Yes. Headsets connect to it in just the same way as extra handsets. The demonstrator I saw showing it off used a BT headset as an example. You can't initiate a call with the headset - but you can initiate with the handset and then wander off continuing the call with a headset.
Perhaps this will provide extra assurance: http://www.hellodirect.com/catalog/Product.jhtml?CATID=15322&PRODID=19302
