View Full Version : Where is "Where Is My RAM?"?

Had to hard-reset my Pocket PC and am now trying to track down the "Where Is My RAM?" utility, but the homepage, www.mypaq.net, seems to be down. Is the program still available for download from somewhere else? Most other PPC software sites seem to just link to mypaq.net, which isn't too helpful...

Yes. Been there, tried that. As I mentioned in my post, most PPC software sites (including this one) simply link to the original web-site for the download, so this doesn't actually help me a whole lot. I was wondering if anyone had found the file hosted elsewhere, or, possibly, since it's freeware (assuming the license would allow it), whether someone might be able to e-mail me the install file.

I recently switched PPCs and also liked this program, so . . .

. . . I downloaded the working file from the link provided by possum above.

Thanks for reminding me!

Hugh, the first link you posted includes an extra ","
That's why it didn't work.
http://mypaq.net/mysoftware/wimr/index.shtml is up and working.

At PocketPCFreeware.com, we link to authors' sites too as long as we can.
The reason is very easy to understand : we do not earn anything for our work (we can't do that, can you imagine earn money with freeware coded by others*?), and 11000 visitors a day (http://stats.pocketpcfreewares.com/usage_200406.html) require a huuuuuuuuge bandwidth. So, local files, yes, but as few as possible. Do not hesitate to inform us about broken links or "abandonfreeware". We host them as long as we can :) (i.e. as long as some kind people do not forget to click on the Google Ad banner to pay our bills ;) ...)

Actually, the extra "," was added by the bulletin board which automatically turned www.mypaq.net into a link. I was trying (among other links, like WebAttack's) multiple links last night and nothing was working - I guess the server was just down temporarily. Sorry for the false alarm, and thanks for all the help, everybody!

And special thanks to you, Torgamm! pocketpcfreeware.com has become one of my top Pocket PC resource sites, of late - second only to the inimitable PocketPCThoughts, of course, and replacing the now somewhat overcommercialized ipaqsoft.com as a first stop for Pocket PC freeware! Keep up the great work! (And I'll try to remember to click-through some of those ad banners next time! ;))
