I want to connect my Jornada 525 Serial, to my work PC but the network wont allow me to install Activesynce because i do not have administrator rights.

Is there another sync program the REPLACES activesync?

I have found lots that work WITH activesynce but none that replace it..

Can anyone help

Regards

if you can't install activesync, chances are any alternatives will be impossible to install as well. Why not contact your network admin and tell them you need to install activesync on that workstation?

I am in a goverment organisation and i have tried that already, unless the unit is supplied by them they wont entertain that.

The network does allow me to install some programs, but not activesync.

Thanks

Try an old trick - rename the installation file name to notepad.exe. It usually works.

Unfortunately, I know of no other on Windows. :( Besides, what makes you think you'll be able to install another sync program, if it existed?
