I own an ipaq 1945,,,I like it and am looking for somthing like it but a little less $$$ for my father in law...any suggestions?

Well you can get a used X5 on ebay or amazon, those are reliable PPCs! I myself used to have an X5, I loved it, but it got outdated so I sold it.

You can always look for a used Hp1910... depending on what you are planning to use it for or maybe the Hp1930 series...
