I love my X30 so far. Very fast. Opens Textmaker much faster. Screen is clear and bright. Love the landscape view. Wifi works great. This is by far the best PDA I've ever had (and I've had a bunch.) I really commend Dell. I ordered it and received it within a week. I think $300 for a 624mhz, blue tooth, wifi unit is a great price. Here are the programs I am using and they are all working great.

Agenda Fusion 6.0
Pocket Slideshow 1.30
Laridian Bible NIV
Flex wallet
Pocket MVP
Lextionary
Resco File Explorer
Mapopolis
Textmaker

I couldn't be happier. It's exceeded my expectations!

Yeah, its a reallllllly attractive unit, especially for the price...

But I think I'll hold off a little bit longer for VGA.

Glad you like it though, do websites and stuff open faster?

Web sites are extremely fast. I'm writing this reply using it right now. The landscape option is great!

How bout screen sensitivity? Is there sensitivity loss closer to the corners? Which axim x30 does NOT have this? This is what is keeping me away from buying this unit, im going towards the hp 4150 which is more stylish, ssmaller/thinner,..only difference is processor and price.

I have heard people complaining about it, but have not noticed any sensitivity issues with mine. The only thing I like better about the 4155 was the size. But in every other area the x30 is on par or superior to the HP. I am amazed at the speed difference.

everything is OK but what about the battery life

Good to hear, I think I've decided to get one of these and forget the HP4150 mostly on price. Saving $200 or using it to buy accessories is much better, I think.

How is the brightness of the screen and the white color screen? (many people write poorly about the HP4150 yellow tint hue?) Do you have a picture of it in your hand? I haven't seen anything on the net to represent size in ones hand. I ask b/c I held the HP last night and loved it. Thanks.

I received my X30 high last week but I've got a few problems with it, including the screeen sensitivity problem. I also am having problems with the sound: the alarms can't be heard and the volume on the musinc player is so low that I have to have it turned all the way up to hear it (thru headphones). Finally, the d-pad is not working properly. I've got a replacement on the way - should be here next week.

I've been running mine at 624 mhz the whole time and the Wifi power management turned off. The speed is very nice, even if the battery runs down a little quicker. That's why a bought the Mugen 2000 mah.

Coming from 8 years of Palms (I intend to keep my T3, BTW) it's been more than a little difficult to get used to the operating system but I'm learning my way around.

Forgot to mention - my screen is very white. I hope the new one has the same white screen.

I haven’t noticed a considerable difference between my x30 and any of the other pocketpc’s I have had which had built in wifi. I have not done any testing, this is all anecdotal; but on days I have forgotten my power cord, my x30 had met the challenge. 45 minute commute in playing an audio book from audible. Scheduler and note taker during several meetings throughout the day. And hour commute home with audible playing the whole way.

Hi. I have both X30s (624&312Mhz), and right away I noticed the screen sensitivity prob...but only with the 624Mhz, while the 312Mhz's screen is absoulutely perfect.
Also it is not constant. Sometimes it is fine, and other times, by the edges it isn't as sensitive.

I just got my x30 (coming from a 4155) I love this unit. Screen & wi-fi blow away the 4155. Its a little wider but for the price, features and performance, I can live with it just fine.

I am sure someone has posted to this forum some pictures showing the x30 side by side and on top of the 4150, but I can't find them. Can someone post a link to the pics, or post the pics. Thanks in advance!
