View Full Version : How do I get my 4355 to connect to the internet when I am on the road.

Is there a modem I have to get for the phone. Or should I connect the PDA to my cellular phone. What is the process for this?

If your phone has either Bluetooth or an infrared port, you don't need any extra equipment. You do need to set your phone up as a modem for your Pocket PC. You do this by using the wizard at START>SETTINGS>CONNECTIONS>CONNECTIONS> and then select "Add a new modem connection"

Of course, you do need an account with an ISP and the phone number used to access it.

Can a cell phone actually be used as a modem. I never knew that. And its used as minutes. So why do people need that mmode for.

Some cell phones can. As for how data is evaluated, it depends on the pricing plan and the carrier you have. If you furnish more details, we might be able to help. :)
