"Notes" = the default icon in PPC2002's start menue that is basically a glorified notepad.exe with audio recording capabilities and a small filebrowser as a frontend
Pocketquake = ported Quake1 video game, that is a game I became obsessed with just before hitting pubrity back in 96 :)
PocketNES = an NES emulator
winamPAQ = a ported winamp mediaplayer which does everything I need
Multiplayer chess game = the first webpage that poped up when I typed in "Multiplayer chess pocket pc". itsalso freeware :D

Every now and then I switch launching and monitoring programs, but everything else has remained consistent for a long time:

- Pocket Informant (I'd be lost without it)
- ScaryBear Software's QuickAgenda and QuickTasks (for displaying agenda and task items on the Today screen)
- PHM's TrayLaunch (launch programs from icons in the bottom bar)
- Magic Button (free task closer/switcher)
- MobiPocket Reader (I only wish more books came in MobiPocket format. The interface and features are great. Reading in full screen landscape mode is wonderful).
- Resco File Explorer
- Conduit's Timekeeper (I'm in the quick-serve restaurant business and use the stopwatch to time speed of service in my restaurants)
- Journal Bar (though I now find I'm only using it for weather)
- Achieve-IT (I didn't think I needed goal setting software, but it was on sale for a dollar, so I bought it. I'm only just beginning to use it, but I think it will be helpful).

For recreational purposes:

- withMP3 (I've used it for a long time, it always works, why switch?)
- Pocket TV
- pdamill's GameBox Solitare (I'm addicted)
- PocketNester (with a bunch of ROM's on an SD card)
- ScaryBear's QuickQuotes (gotta have a daily quote on my Today screen)
