View Full Version : Outlook "Check Names" Issue

I sync my PPC at work and home. If I send meeting requests at work to anyone that it not in my contacts at home then I get unresolved items on syncing. Activesync requires me to either select a name from my contacts (unacceptable) or add a contact in order to resolve the items (a real drag).

I've had this problem for what seems like forever and have posted it in various places a long time ago to no avail. Figured I might see if anyone has figured anything out since. Someone emailed me today based on an old post to see if I ever figured it out and it reminded me how annoying it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

debehan,
I've had the same problem since AS 3.71. I haven't found a solution and just ignore the unresolved items for the calendar.

Appreciate the response. Unfortunately, you don't then know when you have a 'real' unresolved item and at least for me, those items aren't added to my home Outlook calendar which defeats the purpose of trying to sync them. Personally, I've taken to creating contacts at work from the global address book every time I know I'm sending to someone that doesn't have one but that's a real productivity killer.

It still baffles me after all this time that MS hasn't addressed this issue.

Well, every now and then I click resolve and when I see the "email address box" popup, I know it's our problem. I just remember the count of unresolved for the next time.
