how can I create a link to "find'' in my launcher??

Well, the executable that is run is shfind.exe. That is under the Windows directory.

anyone using standart find function???
this utility is too dumb, i never use it.
and may i ask that why are you using default search utility instead of good third parity programs like tascal search?

Actually it works quite well for what it was designed to do. That is to find pieces of information that you have missplaced in your pocket brain.
You know you have a meeting with Mr. Reynolds but you can't remember quite when, or if you put it on you calendar. You put Reynolds in Find and it will pull contacts, calendar entries, Notes, etc that have Reynolds in them somewhere. You find that you put Mr. Reynolds in the notes of a task you created about putting together a presentation for a meeting, and the meeting date is in there too. Find found it.
It's designed to find info, not files, file names, etc.

sometimes i miss too basic things. i used this utility a couple of times to search files, and abandoned forever.
i didnt know the real purpose of it. thank you

while we're on the subject - what are some good third party "find" utilities?? and what value do they add over the default search?
