"Spamming other boards"
That is a way to annoy other Moderators and admins by stimulating people to break other boards rules. This guy is off my short-list of favourite websites forgood.....

It could use a new PHPBB theme, that would be a step in the right direction
Edit: I just looked at the link that OSUKid7 posted and I don't think they (demo at pocket void) get it.

Sorry,
But if someone suggests (as board Admin!!!) in his first post to start spamming other boards, people lose all credit with me. I don't know if you've seen the number of posts this guy made to this board, but it was just a series of "Please visit my site" all over the board. And that is what he does to somebody else's board (we are guests here, so lets behave)!

Well, when he said he was looking to Spam other boards, he wasn't kidding! I just don't think he understands (yet) how this can damage his credibility in the community and his reputation in general. He may not realize how annoying this is (since he just started his forums) but wait until he gets spammed a few times...

I spent 2 hours over GPRS deleting demo's announcements from all forums except News Releases and Announcements over at Pocket PC Passion so he's not kidding. 30 in all! What a waste of bandwith. Not to mention how crazy my pop3 inbox went with all the reported posts. 8O
Don't Panic!

That's one thing I wish PPCT had - a report this post button. I guess it's not that bad since the mods are very active. :)

BobbyHmmmm,
He hasn't visited my board yet, but i guess he will be kicked out in a second. Doesn't this guy realize that by doing what he did: He seriously annoys other admins He sets a very bad example for his future membersI must say his "Great Community" is about 5 people big at the time. I can understand why he likes new members, but i would focus on providing content to new members instead of trying to lure them from other boards.....

I was tempted to create an account on his forums just to tell him I thought his "tactics" for getting new members left alot to be desired! Then I thought about it and decided not to increase his membership by one (to six!) and went back to work instead...

Ugh. I can only IMAGINE how much email we'd get during a "heated discussion". ;)
But if anyone sees something particularly bad, and it doesn't seem like Steve or I have posted lately, you can always send a URL to moderator at pocketpcthoughts.

Well, many forums have a mod-only area where they can manage content...that could be added to that page, so you wouldn't really receive email, unless you wanted to of course.

Still, given that between us we read (or at least skim) every single post, we've pretty much got it covered...

Yeah, you've got to hand it to our moderators here. They do a great job keeping things clean and friendly...not to mention keeping us on topic.

Unless Jason and Fabrizio don't update the forum backend of this site when the new version becomes availible, that feature will be availible, whether or not it is implemented is a different story.

If it's made available in phpBB 2.2, I'm sure we'll have it. 8) That is, when phpBB 2.2 ships. :|

I'm sorry, I thought from Kati's comments that there was a strong chance that if it is in phpbb 2.2 and when you install 2.2 that it may be a disabled feature.
furthermore, unless I'm again mistaken, I thought I saw that feature on the dev board for 2.1.x
This post is made in a flat tone.

Yes, this is true. Unfortunately, the phpBB team has made it very clear that they don't want to commit to a certain date for release. They completed Milestone 2 a maybe a few months ago, so if I were to estimate a time phpBB 2.2 would be out I will say September of this year, but that's just a guess. :|
