Does anyone know if there is any way to use a mouse alongside a keyboard on a pda? keyboard + mouse = happy gaming for me :D Searching showed nothing really, just a GPS and a welfare little stick-on mouse for old palmOS's

You can if your PPC has USB port. Just download the mouse driver from DeJe (http://www.deje.gmxhome.de/) plug it in and enjoy.

Woah, so now I am totally confused. It says

"For all USB drivers and applications you need to have a PPC with USB host functionality like Casio E200, Toshiba e740/e335/e750 and a few more. Please double check prior to download any package."

I have an E335 and an H2215... Unless the CIA stole my USB port, my 335 doesn't have any sort of USB port, aside from the cradle connector :(

With the E335 you need to plug an adapter to the bottom of it to get your USB port.

Or you could use a CF USB card.

Or you could use a CF USB card
these cards costs more than 100$
so the original adapter would be a better solution

Oh, that would be sweet!

I wonder if that new bluetooth keyboard adds a generic HID bluetooth profile. Any one know how the bluetooth keyboard interfaces? I'll bet it uses a custom driver that only work for the keybaord.

The Targus IR Keyboard has a 'mouse' feature. It even puts a mouse/cursor on the screen!

i dont think that there exists a keyboard profile.
the existing BT enabled keyboards use special drivers and as profile they work on serial profile.
in theory someone can make drivers for pocketpc OS but since this will be too hard i dont expect this to be in the near future.
plus the person or company who makes this drivers will sell the driver.
i've never seen a company selling drivers!!!

One of the keyboard manufacturers sells drivers, (the one that makes the screen rotation prog, to go with their keyboard) , the device the drivers are made for isn't hot stuff from my understanding, but it works with windows mobile, and many people downloaded it until the felt the need to charge for drivers.

i dont think that there exists a keyboard profile.

Keyboard and Mouse profiles are part of the HID (Human Interface Device) Bluetooth Profile.

I do not think that any PPC comes with the HID Profile.

FrogPad (http://www.frogpad.com/) says that they will supply an HID Profile when they ship their bluetooth model this summer.

i didnt know that such a profile exists, but generic serial profile could easly solve the problem too

I have to admit that half of what was said went in one ear and out the other, but I am now extreamly curious about this bluetooth mouse prospect. I picked up an h2215 for $200US on ebay the other day, still waiting for it to come in, but a bluetooth mouse would be rad :D If anyone figures this out do tell!
