Music from stereo headset of XDA II subuptimal

Hi Guys,
I found that the quality of music from the stereo headset of XDA II is not quite good. Other better stereo headset with tonal adjustment in the market today will not fit in the sucket of XDA II. Anybody knows of a way to convert the bigger pin of standard headsets to the smaller pin that will fit into the XDA II sucket? I am still thinking!
