Hi guys,

this is my first time on this forum, and really new to the Pocket PCs. Owned Palms before, but made the plunge to pocket pcs with the HP Ipaq 4150 model. I just bought one, and don't quite know how to do everything yet. I use it for everything, and after I had purchesed it, I took a look at a resellers webpage, and it states that the 4150 cannot play mp3s at all. Is this true? the 4150 does have a headphone jack, and I noticed that it does have windows media player on it. Please tell me that it has the capability to play them. Thanks

well according to FutureShop (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=19&WLBS=fsweb12&sku_id=0665000FS10037739&catid=&newdeptid=19) in Canada, it does not support mp3s. So if it can play it, how do I set it up on a memory card I have?

Thanks again

Connect your PDA to the desktop via ActiveSync. Open Windows Explorer on your desktop, you would see your Mobile Device listed. Click on it. On the right pane, look for a folder called My Device and double click on it, you should now see a folder called Storage Card (if you have put your memory card in your Pocket PC). Drag and drop any MP3 file from your desktop to this folder.

On your PDA, launch the Windows Media Player and browse to the folder where you copied the file and select it. It should play. You can also use File Explorer on the PDA, navigate to the folder where you copied the file and tap on it. That's it. Hope this helps.

well according to FutureShop in Canada, it does not support mp3s. what kind of a market strategy is this?
you can play mp3 for sure plus ogg, wmp, and even divx but you will need additional software for these.

well i use http://www.pocketmind.com/pocketmusic.htm it's a lot like winamp. You can drag mp3s anywhere on storage card or main memory and access them buy clicking which folder you want pocketmusic to look at. http://www.pocketmind.com/images/pocketmusic.gif
