The e800 includes:
• 400MHz Intel® PXA 263 processor
• 128 MB SDRAM, 32 MB Flash ROM, 32 MB NAND Flash
• 480 x 640 (VGA) and 240 X 320 (QVGA) , maximum number of colours : 65,536
• SDIO
• Bluetooth and IrDA

It is available in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and France. This is different than the e800 for the US of A, which has Wifi but lacks bluetooth and the newer 2003SE operating system.

Hmm, I couldn't use the German or French ones, but if the UK one is in English ;) that would work for me.

Isn't this kind of rediculous? I thought Toshiba pissed off all their e800 owners by announcing they would NOT be making WM2003SE available, then they produce units with it! That means they've done the work to put it on an e800, why not let current owners upgrade?

The only valid reason I can see is a technical limitation, like ROM size or something, but if that were the case, it'd be nice if they just said so. Of course, I own an iPAQ, not a Toshiba, so maybe i have it all wrong.

Then you could also buy the one from the Netherlands. There's no Dutch version of WM2003(SE)

Wrong on *all* counts. (Why do people feel the need to sound off about things when they self-admittedly don't know the facts and when there is free and easy to use search box they could use to check them? - laziness?)

You guys may want to take a look at a post that hit the forums a few minutes ago!

Toshiba dropped the ball on their earlier models, before the e800. And it had to do with the WM2003 upgrade, not WM2003SE. There were also other issues.

Urm NO.

Toshiba dropped the ball on previous models when they DIDNT offer an upgrade from PPC 2k2 to Win Mobile.

Toshiba with the E800/805 and the E400/405 was the first one to say they would offer FREE upgrades to Second Edition.

They screwed up in the past and they ammended that nicely, as a matter of fact I just upgraded my e800 to SE.

Out of interest I had a very quick look around - expansys in the UK are offering both the bluetooth and the wifi models for £342 + £6 delivery (stock on both quoted to be one day away as I write this).

This is only a few pounds more but does offer you choice of which wirefree technology you want.

This interests me a little, especially now that a SE upgrade has been released and seems to be working, as I want to use Pocket Informant on a VGA screen.

My only hold back would be to see what HP are going to offer next in the VGA line. And how much. And when.

Wasn't sure what the Netherlands version would be. Been there. You guys seem to speak most of those languages. It's embarrassing to be American sometimes. What do you call a person that speaks three languages? Tri-lingual. What do you call a person who speaks two languages? Bi-lingual. What do you call a person who speaks one language? American.

Or British. We are known for that as well.

Good to see that Toshiba have leaned from their earlier mistakes! Lets hope they keep the good work up. :)
