Well, I do have a kind of a reputation for the bizarre, and some at work say I have a more than platonic relationship with Ivanova (my Ipaq).
Anyhow,
I was cycling along one day and had to stop to get a map out to look up where I was going. I thought that were I in my car, it would be unnecessary thanks to TomTom and Ivanova.
That got me to thinking, and a couple of weeks later, I've bought a Fortuna bluetooth GPS, a dual PCMCIA expansion jacket and some mounting gear from Arkon.
I now have Ivanova mounted securely in the middle of my handlebars whispering directions in my ear via the headphones.
The system is wonderful when it is working (most of the time), but does have a small tendency to get confused when I cut through cycle routes that are closed to cars, and the Bluetooth connection isn't perhaps as stable as I'd like. Bit overall, I'm very happy, and it gave me an excuse to finally order that Toshiba 5Gb HDD I've been drooling over :)
