Simple question: when does it come out?

I tried searching the forums for "2003SE", but I couldn't find an answer. Is it out yet? I hear of companies making programs for 2003SE, so I would assume that it's out...no?

Well, in terms of being "out" it's out already. Dell's new PPC is already using WM2003SE and there are others that will be released before too long, including the new Ipaqs.

If you mean "out" in the case of upgrades being available, I don't believe there are any so far. I guess Toshiba have confirmed that some of their models will get upgrades, but I don't know if any other OEM has made a committment yet.

You are right about programs for SE being available. I remember seeing that Pocket Informant, for example, is compatable with SE a couple of months ago. It certainly is a slow process.

big companies will make compatible versions in a short time for sure but what about independent developers and small companies and the programs that are no more continued to develop?
microsoft made something really good but it seems that there will be lots of discussions about program imcompatibilities

we won't know for sure untill those people with the new Dells and, one other device running WM 2003SE that wasn't made by dells PPC OEM, are out (for verification of the dell folks results) most programs for PPC 2000/2002 still work on WM2003 FE
