The MobileGadget summary of the new iPAQs (http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/hp.html) says that the new Explorer will offer SDIO, CFII and "iPAQ Smart Slot".

Isn't "iPAQ Smart Slot" HP's name for the connector at the bottom of the PDA that accepts expansion packs?

If so, then HP hasn't abandoned their customers who need the expansion packs -- hooray!

I figured that they would at least keep the connector.

enterprises need expansion pack capability, due to their huge investments. HP needs to always have an expansion pack device.

Look at the back of the 6300. Doesnt it look like it can accept expansion pack?

I always wondered why they didn't have an adapter sleeve, like the ones for miniSD to SD, where the connector is the same and the adapter is just a peice of plastic or metal to make the deminisions the same.

This is a fantastic idea. I hope HP's listening. :)
