The New York area had <a href="http://pocketcalculatorshow.com/crazyeddie/">Crazy Eddie</a>. Belkin is apparently vying for the "Crazy Belkin" title, with INSAAAAANE discounts on everything in their online store. Fortunately for us, Belkin is not yelling at us or smashing things with hammers. They've taken a much more civilized approach and have simply issued a 50% off coupon code ("12345").<br /><br />I'm thinking rather seriously about picking up the <a href="http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&amp;Product_Id=164017">Bluetooth GPS Navigation System</a>. Normally $399, the discount code drops it down to a cool $200. This is a great deal, as this unit is a rebranded Fortuna Clip-On BT GPS receiver, and comes bundled with <a href="http://store.yahoo.com/inavcorp-store/gpsnaso.html">iGuidance software</a>, which normally sells for ~$119. There's no word on when this promotion will end, so you may want to jump on this before they come to their senses.

This is an awesome deal. I was about to order their $20 iPAQ sync and charge cable (with included USB/car adapter) for just $9.99 until I noticed that ground shipping would be $7.50... I can get the same product at Circuit City for $19.99 and not have to wait for it to be shipped...

You know what that means... I won't end up buying the damn thing at all.

FYI, you can get a better deal for the Belkin GPS from Buy.com. It is currently $175 after rebate. See here: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10360040&sp=1&loc=101.

I have been using one since February. It is a great GPSr especially with good software like Mapopoplis. I have found the navigation software included with the Belkin to be a bit buggy with BT and SD.

Enjoy.

I see no reference on this sale within there web site? Am I missing something that is clear to see?

Hmm... I don't see the discount anywhere :confused totally: . I also tried placing something in my shopping cart with no luck. Have they already removed it?

this deal has actually been going on for at least 2 months already. maybe 3.

doesn't that coupon code remind you of spaceballs?

"what's the combination?"
"1-2-3-4-5"
"that's amazing, that's the same combination i have on my luggage!"

Dang it... the $225 SoHo DVI KVM switch I've been wanting is out of stock!

I wonder if they're planning on shutting down their online store?

the code reads as "Friends of Belkin" on checkout. Maybe it's supposed to be some sort of "friends and family" employee discount that just got out of hand?...

in any case, i ordered a wireless mouse/keyboard for my HTPC thingamajig (well, it sorta will function as a kitchen-PC-TV-MP3-jukebox-MAME-station this year, since i don't have a real separate living room) for $30 shipped, which isn't too shabby considering Belkin makes good stuff.

In a related topic, Office Depot is running a Buy 1, Get 1 Free sale this week on Belkin PDA accessories. I picked up the Wireless PDA Keyboard for both me & my wife. Not bad, since it was like $59.95

The code is a code that Belkin employees were provided to give to friends, family, and irate customers. This is the first I've heard of this being public. I doubt it is supposed to be public.

The code has been functional for a couple years now. Suprised no one discovered it until now.

I'm thinking rather seriously about picking up the Bluetooth GPS Navigation System (http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=&Product_Id=164017). In January, Belkin was doing a 50% off deal for MacWorld. This was not the Friends of Belkin discount mentioned later in this thread.

I almost ordered that Bluetooth GPS system; it was only $300 for a couple of days, so I could have gotten it for $150, but I decided not to.

I did get a Class I USB Bluetooth adapter (which doesn't work on my laptop running Windows XP Home), a seven-port USB 2.0 hub and a Quadra laser/pen/stylus/flashlight (which had the laser fail very quickly). I called Belkin tech support about the Bluetooth adapter, and found that it did work on my daughter's Windows ME laptop, but they basically gave up trying to get it working for me. :-(

Good deal. I've been wanting to get one of their KVM's for a while. No excuse now!

Does belkin.com deliver internationally? I can't seem to find an "order" page on their Australian site.

In any event, if anyone manages to find the link to an USB 128MB key let me know! I can't find it on Belkin.com anywhere :?

From what i have seen this is not a really a good deal. Since i heard about this sale the other day i have been shopping around for bluetooth stuff... usb, headsets, gps. Every other place that sells belkins stuff does not have it on sale. Oddly enough it is still the same price. I can go to a Circuit city store and get either of their usb bluetooth dongles, at regular price with no shipping, for less than from the belkin website at 50% off....?!?!
What's up with that? I found the same thing at tigerdirect.com and mobileplanet.com. So did belkin mark everything up 55% before puting it on sale for 50% off??

Makes no sense to me...

I think some items are better deals that others. Going back to the example in my post, the lowest price I could find for the same GPS + the same software is at Semsons, where it sells for $255 (http://www.semsons.com/forclipwprym1.html). That seems like a pretty good deal to me...
